Fence row on fire today. Smell of smoke in a house yesterday.
Trailer fire last friday, followed by a relight (not to be confused with rekindle) the following saturday. Tuesday a car being towed ran over 2 gas pumps and caught fire, Asst Chief runs in and asks where the emergency shut off is and gets handed a fire extinguisher. The guy was Asian with VERY broken english.
we had mva thursday moring ,gas leak thursday afternoon,a sanking tug boat last night up to the pilot house plus we were for 14 1/2 hrs.
mutual aid to a semi fire/MVA on friday morning... five fatalities... that one sucked, pregnant woman fell down her steps friday afternoon, elderly male having stomach px on saturday, open burn complaint saturday night, power lines down with a small brush fire on sunday
Cardiac arrest/DOA Friday morning. Extrication drill with a mutual aid department tonight. Otherwise all quiet.
Thurs, mutual aid for a working structure fire, friday mutual aid for smell of gas in a structure. Other than that been pretty quite. Its getting kinda scary cause its been too quite in my area. Something big is going to happen or the sh#$ is going to hit the fan!!!
It's been really quiet lately. Residential alarm activation a few days ago. Not much. We did do a rope training at a not-to-far-away state park. And a maze drill with a mutual aid company this past wedneday... That's all the exciting stuff around here recently.
its summer now so we have a couple water rescue calls a day and a brush fire that was put out before we arived
Our last run was for a elderly female who was experiencing shortness of breath on the beach. When we arrived down on the beach with stokes and kits the lady said she was now feeling better. Yeah right! we asked her how she was going to feel once she walked all the way back up that steep hill to her vehicle. We found out that the State Parks have a 4 wheel drive John Deer GATTOR that we can use to run patients up off the beach. Where have they been before with that rig? She ended up riding back up to the Ambulance in that and was checked out to be released. Good thing is we now know they have that available to us.
We ran on an older gentleman that had gotten in an argument with his wife, so he took a mattress out to the garage and they hadn't seen him come out in 4 days. It was about 90 degrees in the garage and he had drank a 12 pack of beer in the last 2 and a half hours.
LOL
Thats awesome!
