I became a first responder in 1995 and took my emt-b in 1997. After taking it I met my wife, got married and had kids and somehow there wasn't enough time in the day for everything so I let my emt cert expire and just kept my first responder cert.

The kids are a little older now and I was able to free up some time so I sat in on quite a few emt classes and applied to challenge the state test.

Today I went to Ivy Tech and took the test. I love the computerized tests that give you the results right away. When I first took the test you had to wait 6-8 weeks to find out the results from the state.

Anyways, I am happy to say that after all these years I was able to pass the test and will be receiving my recertification for emt-b in the near future.

Kudos to the Cap!
Congratulations bro. That is awesome. Never enough hours in a day HUH? I am happy for you.
Thanks everyone. I really enjoy the ems aspect and should never have let it expire, but now I can start again.
