I thought I would let you know about a new way to listen to how they do things down under. You can hear a new audio feed from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
On this feed you'll hear a bit of everything from fire crews to beach patrol hunting for sharks near the swimming areas to responding to a MVA.
The website is still under construction but the URL is http://www.moretondiver.com/livescannerfeed.html

Oh yes, plenty of land not torched over here. Queensland is having trouble with too much water, not bushfires.

Am I right and you're pulling in multiple radio networks for this feed? I can hear what I'm sure are Police, and what I think are Fire.
All that use of codes! I'm glad we use plain English down here in Vic.

Yeh, I leave it scanning unless something big is happening. This is what the feed is normally scanning;
156.8000 - VHF Marine Ch 16 (Distress & calling)
160.7750 - VHF Marine Ch 63 (Water Police repeater)
156.6750 - VHF Marine Ch 73 (General working channel)
469.0750 - Qld Police Ch 100
412.5500 - Qld Ambulance Service
77.6750 - Qld Fire & Rescue Service (Rural Fire service)
466.9500 - Qld Fire & Rescue Service Ch 20
488.6500 - Surf Life Saving Ch 6
487.6250 - Surf Life Saving Ch 7
163.6250 - Gold Coast City Council - Lifeguard Service
118.7000 - Gold Coast International Airport Tower
+ feed may also cover other services at times including northern New South Wales
