If your goin for looks then definatly bourkes, the face shields are gona protect your eyes more but I supoose a pair of googles will do ya alright. I'm not sure on this but I thought I heard that bourkes dont meet NFPA standards anymore... does anybody know if thats true??? It seems strange that so many guys would have them if they arent

As I understood it, to meet the eye protection safety requirements, neither the bourkes or the 4" shield meet the standard. I personally have goggles attached to my helmet.
If you are wearing one or the other for "The Look" then you are not concerned about your own personal safety... and that is a shame.
Bourkes they don't fall in front of your face all day long. I mean do goggles really provide that much more safety b/c in a fire you can't wear them anyway.
I have bourkes on one of my leathers because that is what it came with. On my other leather I don't have bourkes, face shield, or goggles. I have a 1044 with the Defender shield in it. And at work I have a metro that has goggles on it. But in all three sets of my gear I have safety glasses. That is what I prefer.
This is BS. There is no way that this is the case. Eye protection is the same no matter who makes it in this case. They some how got a helmet certified, not sure how. This is blatant false advertising.
