Depending on the design of your station, here in MI, we are having a mid winter car wash. Pull into the bays and we wash em down. City water, so thats covered, pretty much 100% proffit off of donations.

Hi Rob, Here are two ideas that we use to raise money for the FD,
1 * Booster Club $2.00 per week for 10 weeks, Tickets limited to 250,
10 Weekly Drawings of $25.00 - 2 each week
Plus 1 $10.00 weekly Winner from all paid up Booster Club Members
10th Week Payouts as follows;
2 - $25.00 Winners and 1 $10.00 Winner (Tickets go back in for big prize payouts)
Big Prize Payouts: 1 - $500.00, 1 - $300.00, 1 - $200.00, 2 - $100.00,
2 - $50.00, and 4 - $25.00 Prizes

You give yourself/members a four week sale time before the first drawing. Divide the
tickets equally among your membership and push the sale the last week.
If you sell all the ticket you'll make $3,000.00

* Another way to make money is look for someone to organize a "TEXAS HOLD'EM".

The best one we did was a BBQ cookoff sanctioned by International Barbeque Cookers Association. This two day event brought teams from all over the state. We netted over $11,000. Let me warn you, it takes several months planning, and a lot of people to pull it off. I have worked 18+ hrs on the fireground and haven't been as beaten down as I was after this.

Here is the link to the organization if you are inclined to try this.

Poker Run-Motorcyclists pay a fee to travel a predetermined course with a lunch and prizes included.
Sell tickets for a motorcycle- $10 tickets have a spaghetti meal the night of the drawing to make some more cash.
If you have a building host dances for high school kids. You can sell soda and snacks too!

I help out with our fund raising and our biggest one is our money drawing. It draws alot of people. another is our pork dinner on new years day, community days at the park or heritage center selling food and drinks, chicken barBQ, easter flower sale, band night, and we are thinking of rose sale for valentines day and also a quarter auction.
