Why women in the Medical field want to date Fire Fighters?

Is this just here in MO? Just wondering. Thanks

I doubt it has anything to do with an "MO" as you call it, as it has to do with similar interests, similar knowledge and shift work. I know dating someone who worked 9-5 would be very difficult for me. Not to mention the firefighters are likely seeking out the ladies as much as the other way around. Women in the medical field, be it paramedics or nurses likely understand the firefighters job just a little bit more.

Now if it's a fixation with only dating firefighters, that's something else all together. By the way, I doubt ALL women in the medical field date firefighters... lol...

Zach, I gotta love the post. I think I like the firemen because they are dedicated, hard-working, understand what it's like to lose a patient, they understand the mental & emotional demands of being in that type of work, they look good all hot & sweaty, they love kiddos. I could go on & on but, there are my main reasons.

Who knows...?? Maybe they are as crazy as the firefighters...lol....Or maybe its because they know under all the bulls-it there is a heart in there that makes them put their ass on the line for others.....There aren't many in this world with that outlook anymore....and come to think of it....it isn't that bad of an option afterall....certainly could do a whole lot worse.... There is always the flip side too, firefighters wanting to date the female medical personnel and here is the top ten for that

1. Anytime, anywhere, anyway you need us.
2. Of course we are already familiar with latex
3. Paramedics are prepared for any rhythm.
4. We always come when called.
5. We can shock the socks off you!
6. We arrive with our own multi-positional bed.
7. We are the best in rapid clothing removal.
8. Experts in mouth to mouth.
9. Good with multiple partners.
10. We are used to staying up all night.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE.....I honestly think it has a lot to do with the personality types. They both love the adreneline rush and the thrills involved. Studies have shown that persons in Fire, EMS, ER, Police, etc, are also more prone to cheat on there significant others. It is caused by the same reasons we love the job, the rush, the risk, and the danger. I'm sure you have all seen an example of this, especially if you work full time in one of these fields.

From the male perspective I married a female involved in EMS becuase of alot of the same reasons. I dated alot of women befor her that liked saying my boyfriend is a firefighter but didn't like the other things that went along with it. My wifes father has been in EMS for 30 years and she has been in EMS for 13 so she knew what she was getting into when she got involved with me. Nothing about the job bothers her and she wants to hear about my day. It makes it nice to be able to talk to her about it.

So from my perspective thats why I chose to date people related to the fire/ems service. They just flat out get what others don't.

When I dated guys who were PD (like many in my family) or EMS like me or FF like many of my friends, I found that they understood:
when you are late because of one more call at the end of the shift
when you want to stop at a real bad accident
when you already put in a double and want sleep
when you clearly need a beer not a chat!
when its proper to tell a mom who has her infant on her lap on the front seat she is MORON!
but most important when its appropriate to rip each others clothes off because your contaminated....where did you think I was going with that one? ROFLMAO!

im a firefighter and im dating a firefighter, its so much easier that way because on both sides, you understand the late nights at the firehouse wether it be hanging out or runing calls, its also easier cause you can carpool to calls in the middle of the night! its may also be because we have so much in common, esp. or main passion, firefighting!
