My dept. is thinking getting our chief on of these shields, what do ya'll think?

They look great, but can your F.D. afford to spend money on something like this? Could the money be better spent on something else? Just a thought.

I think it is a good idea and a great gesture of goodwill. If your Chief has a good relationship with your guys, do what you can to show him you appreciate his efforts. We have a terrible relationship with our Chief and the blame falls on both sides of the table. So, if your Chief respect you and you respect him enough to get him anything, I say go for it!
