What I think...
I dont give a rats ask if you are black, white, male, fermale, career, vollie, contract, municipal, federal, state or martian.
I think:
Discussions about career vs vollie are pointless!
Discussions about women in the fire service more pointless!
Discussions about race in the fire service even more pointless!
I care about these things:
Are you capable of doing the job
Are you going to be there when the crap goes bad
You are smart enough to recognize a loser and make the tough decision to get your ff's out of harms way regardless of who or what is inside
You can get me water in a timely manner
You care enough to train even when it isnt what you want to do
You are a firefighter...

I 'm not sure he means it in a negative way atleast I hope not as far as being pointless. I feel it is more in the forums asking the same ques over and over again...... Not that it is not pointless.. I myself have seen over the last well 6 moths that I have done this that almost everything has been hit on from personel lives,to the female thing,and the race issues... This is why I like this forum.. I also have thrown my two cents in . I have also seen a post pop up which repeats issues... I myself never be grudge someone to speak their mind..... I just think ffrom what I see and have learned I have done my research and have looked over past posts to look for different things before I try posting something.....
