ya i'm a 17 year old high school student, at a small private christian school, i feels like all the goverment is doing is trying to spend its way out of debt, all the classes that i have to take to graduate are telling me the oppsite, be wise with your money all that jazz, how is it that the goverment can't see such a HUGE economic error in what they are doing, when if i made the same error on a test in school i would fail( how will they not fail) plus its my generation that has to pay the taxs and all that money back what they are doing will most likely not really effect them I HAVE TO PAY THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man and here my little fire station is having a hard time just to get a Jaws of Life, and all that money is going to be thrown around. Sigh.

It doesn't do any good to put in for the grant when the bigger cities (w/ budgets!!) get the bulk anyway.

I just have one question. My dept. is a smallvolunteer dept. and the county gets grants for our depts. but it usually goes towards the paid depts. and the police dept. Alot of our gear, apparatus, trucks, and tools are out dated and some are illegal to carry on the truck. How would I go about applying for the stimulus loan or getting donations from other depts. or companies?

Should have clarified that, the white house tried to kill it not the republican congress. The Presidents budget every year recomended zero or substatial cuts to the fire act.
