So I found out about the MS150 when I owned Jack Johnston Bicycles in 2003.
At the time I was mildly interested in the ride because I had customers who were excited about it, but it wasnt any different than the 100 other charity rides I helped support during my tenure at Jacks, or so I thought.
It wasnt until I met Dave Berman that I found that the MS rides were not like the Hotter n Hell, or Beauty and the Beast rides. This was truly a great cause and something I wanted to be a part of, so for the past 5 years I have either committed time and or money to the cause, but never chose to be a participant on the bike.
Well, that has changed and I am now registered to ride with the Lone Star Pontiac/Buick/GMC team, that I have designed jerseys for over the past year. This is a team that evolved from dave's Pollock/Bike Mart teams of years past, and yeah Dave is doing it again.
So why am I blogging about this???
Well, asking people for money isn't something I am terribly comfortable doing, but the whole point of the ride is to raise money and awareness for MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and therefore any of you who take the time to read this are more than welcome to go to my personal page and donate any amount you feel like giving. If not don't feel guilty about not donating, but do think about me on May 2-3 as I ride with thousands of others in a great cause.
