Another incident to think about!!!

Hey guys I recently had an incident of this kind this weekend. Take a look at it and let me know what you would do differently, the same, etc.!!!

We get dispatched for an accident with injuries on a bridge in our still area. Two medics leave the house first in the ambulance (as our SOG says) and myself, an engineer, and two younger fireman respond in our engine. As the engine approaches the bridge we find nothing until we reach the top of the bridge, only to find an accident of approximately 5-6 cars which stopped traffic in all lanes of the expressway below. We continued down the ramp as an auto-aid company was being dispatched for the same accident but they had a location at the next exit down. As we got on the highway (we had to hit a turn-around due to the accident's location) I notified our dispatch of the exact location and continued the auto-aid company coming in (they had an ambulance and a squad). Upon arrival I gave a scene size up as such,"Engine 1 is on the scene we have approximately 5 or 6 vehicles involved, unknown if extracation is needed." As soon as I hopped out of the rig I saw two state troopers with trapped occupants (same vehicle) as I told the engineer to move up and told the others of my crew to grab the tools (spreaders & cutters) and get the generator going. Our ambulance did not offically assume EMS command due to the amount of victims (only three). We had our auto-aid company transport one patient, and another 2 ambulances (special call from other suburbs) transport the other patients. The total extraction took approximately 5-7 minutes for both victims. Our ambulance (which was first on scene) was not able to transport due to the jurisdiction we were in was a neighbors of ours (who was also dispatched the same time as us) and that we don't always see eye to eye on. When this neighbor arrived and assumed command they did not allow us to transport, so we had to transport victims by calling a third ambulance which was about 10 minutes out from the scene.

Sorry this is long guys but I want to hear input from fellow brothers. Just for learning circumstances. Thanks for listening and stay safe!!!!
