Hey fellow firefighters! I hope that all of you have been staying safe and practicing good technique. I have another questions for you folks. I am currently taking an FAE (Fire Apparatus Engineer) Class. I have been being taught to drive & pump for about 15 months now. I'm looking for anyone who may have some easy equations or "cheat sheets" for pumping to pass any information on that you would like to share. I would really like to show the Cheif and superior officers that I'm capable of… Continue

Hey guys I recently had an incident of this kind this weekend. Take a look at it and let me know what you would do differently, the same, etc.!!!

We get dispatched for an accident with injuries on a bridge in our still area. Two medics leave the house first in the ambulance (as our SOG says) and myself, an engineer, and two younger fireman respond in our engine. Risk a lot to Save alot??

You are on a first-in engine and see that flames are showing on the second floor of a frame structure. Everyone is out except one member of the family. As you lead out and lead a line inside you find the missing occupant passed out at the top of the stairs.

What do you do?? Do you and your partner ditch the line and drag the patient out at least to the front lawn or do you notify command and have them send the first truck company in to get the occupant??

Hey Bro,
Hope you don't mind this message, but I'm trying to make a Chicago connection for a business opportunity that is going through the FDNY. More and more members are signing up daily. Its only in three states presently but will eventually be in all fifty. It has to do with the deregulation of gas and electricity. If you know anyone who's looking to make a second income, please let me know. Thanks and stay safe!
