Well I am half way thru the chemo and it s getting tiering and side effects are lasting loger I am glad I hae 4 more to go. I can't wait to get this all behind me and get back to work I have joined the www.firefightercancersupport.org group and it has been a learning experience so many getting cancer the same way i had it and others in little different way. Plus it's a great bonding between cancer patiens same in much the same ways the firefighter brotherhood. But not al fire department are close knit groups like we are her in North Carolina. I have talked and emailed others and they had great support and I have one in indiana that will not get that much support so lets keep Patrick Gordon in our prayers he just been told a week ago he has stage 3 colorectal cancer. I have talked with him and he not as upbeat as I am going through this.I told him to call me at anytime of day or night for support. So help me in keeping him in our prayers as most have prayed for me and my family.Thank you all and have a Blessed safe week.

God bless you and your family brother! I had kidney cancer and it takes a toll on the family as well as us. I’m sure your FD family will welcome you back with open arms. Congratulations on your promotion as well. If you ever need to talk I for one will be here for you. God Bless, Mike, Baltimore City FD.

Robert, Just caught up with your blog. I'm sorry that you have to go through this brother. I know our lord is with you and giving you comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm calling a buddy of mine tomorrow who is a retired firefighter and much better at being consistent with prayer than I am. This will give you for God FFN points! I hope you catch the analogy here... : ) God bless, Mike
