Wow it’s been a while since I have made it to the page to post any thing that’s not good to much work and not enough play makes the Chief a boring and cranky boy. So all you probies out there need to be on your toes. It has been a heck of a month some where around 30 calls this month and on top of unbelievable amount of meetings and yearly ladder and pump tests it has been truly crazy. We were all shocked to hear of the deaths of two Washington state firefighters this is truly a sad occasion, prayers and thoughts go to the family’s and agencies they worked with. Crews continue to learn the advantages of the 5” hose and the little difficulties that go with it. Believe it or not we have already began to work on the budget for 09 I’m trying to implement some new things this coming year including a paid Division Chief to handle training and fire prevention duties, I have will also put a bug in the ear of the Council and Mayor the need for a Quint in the 70’ range to replace are 1983 FMC engine. Well that’s the best I can do for now its time for a good old fire station meal, fifth Wednesday feed night here at the station, get to chat with the all the retired guy’s and enjoy a good meal. Be safe out there and take care.
