First thanks to all who commented I really appreaciate it. Medic shift last Sunday was a Blast ,before I knew it the 24 hours were over and it was fairly slow with only one seriuos call all day, the only bad thing with the one station was they have no cable and TV reception sucks there, and with the first part of the day being really slow. Well all I am aboout to embark on my first 24 hour Medic shift. Our department runs the medics on a 12 hour shift except on weekends when they have openings for day shift medics to work extra hours. One of our Captains called and asked if I would be able to do a 24 this Sunday and I said yes. So we will see how this works Yippppeeeeee.

Well my first shift running on the Medic was quite easy because we only had two calls all night, and I know how that can change very fast. It was lots of fun and the crew I am assigned to they are great and am looking forward to this Friday night when I am scheduled to be on again. I was so hyped up last Saturday that I on;y got about 3 Hours of sleep and then got home and slept for maybe 30 more minutes before I had to go to the Station for Driver Operator class for the Engine Whew by the time… Continue

I just had my orientation for In-House Medic. So as of Saturday March 15th I will be running with the Medic crew every 6 days for a 12 Hour shift. I am so excited that I cannot wait, but at the same time I am very nervous. This is the exact direction that I am looking for. this Fall I plan on going to school for Paramedics, and with a little luck I can maybe get a fulltime job in the Fire/ EMS field.

Well I had taken the NREMT test this morning and have already been informed that I have PASSED and will recieve my letter in the mail.

Well the school posted the EMT-B Grades and it is official that I passed the class and am now waiting for the national registry to get the confirmation in so that I may take their test.

Well I am done with class, took the finals test yesterday and got the results back already I have PASSED so now I await the registry to e-mail me with the test dates, and take their test to get registered.

I have just added new photos and some graphics to my site I would like to add flames to the grey background but have not figured that out yet

Hi Brother and sister firefighters and EMS, I am new to this site and I guess you can say new to the fire service being I am at the end of my second year. I am very proud to be a firefighter, and after the fall quarter I will also Have my EMT-B.
