At a time when healing is not complete we see another LODD in FDNY when will it all end? We need to revamp all departments S.O.P's and have the city Government in each town plan along with the F.D's to better develop codes and procedures to better protect the ones that protect us!

Promoting the wrong people to Chief

We need to step back and look at how we determine who becomes a Fire Chief! Somehow the practice of his dad was or he has been here the longest or he just plain sucked the right persons ass has got to go!! We are killing our firefighters left & right! There has got to be a way to insure the most qualified are put in this position. Not who scores the highest on a stupid test or who is freinds with who!! There are good people standing in the shadows with the proper knowhow…

Another sad day for FDNY

As Firefighters everywhere, especially in NYC grieve the horrific Line of Duty Deaths of FDNY Firefighters Joseph Graffagnino and Robert Beddia from E-24/L-5 yesterday, it is hard to not see the terrorist murders of 9/11 again extending to the loss of these two Firefighters. FF Beddia, 53, had been a Firefighter for 23 years; FF Graffagnino, 33, had been with the FDNY for eight years...both were trapped and ran out of air.
