Yeah I was there, it was a difficult job... but we got it done eventually... Thanks to Solvay and B'ville for thir help as well. If you saw the "Post Standard" the pics on the inside... I was the FF in the middle pic. LOL Thanks Again
Hi Steve, I got you details from the Chaplain site. The best way to get involved with the chaplaincy is to go to you nearest firestation and ask them who their chaplains are. From there on the chaplains can assist you further. Each area works differently. Regards & Blessings, Chaplain Gerta Coetzee, South Africa.
Ps. Good luck
Yes, they are doing real well in keeping the fire service in the volunteer service. Tully has a paid FF paramedic on 24/7. Quite a change from my days in Rockland county. They get EMS calls but no fires compared to what I seen when I was a member in Spring Valley and Hillcrest. Heck I'll even brag I probally seen more working fires then anyone had seen in thier life time here. They are a bunch real good deicated Volunteers down there an I miss it.
I met Wally and Gordon when I did some recruitment and retention consulting for Rockland County a few years back.
They have some good folks in that neck of the woods and I'm impressed at how serious they are about doing whatever it takes to save the volunteer fire service.

I hope you find some useful information in it.
It's about becoming a fire chaplain.

I've done some work up your way too.
You're originally from Spring Valley. Do you know Wally Morris? Was he in Brewer Fire Co. or Hillcrest?
