I moved to Vancouver, WA in 2010 and joined Clark County FD 3 as an Intern FF. After my one year internship I returned to Cle Elum and rejoined the FD there in 2011 and was appointed to the position of Safety Officer.
Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I was talked into joining the Vol. FD by a co worker who kept telling me about how much fun it was and what a great experience it was. After a couple of months I decided to join the FD, fell in love with it and haven't looked back since.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I enjoy helping others and it gives me a sense of fullfilment.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think funding is number one as far as issues we face and staffing is a close second. Especially for volunteer departments who have below adequate equipment and resources because the funds are just not there to upgrade everything that needs it right away.

Hi Nathan, Thanks for your comment on my post, " Volunteers firefighters are not real ?". It's a shame that this BS, has to go on among ourselves. It's supposed to be a fraternity, I can expect it from the press and the public, but from us, no way can I accept it. Anyway, take care, stay safe and enjoy the holidays!
Nathan, Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all.
