- Presently, I am the National Secretary General of Firemen Welfare Association of Nigeria (FMWAN). I am a member of some professional bodies namely; National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Junior Chamber International (JCI). African Technology Policy Studies Networks (ATPS) and African Youth Forum on Science and Technology (AYFST) based in Nairobi Kenya focused on building the capacity of young researchers in science, technology and innovation.

- Martin O. Agbili, attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where I obtained a Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (B.Eng) and majored in Power & Machines. I was employed into Fire Service since 1997 and have worked for 15 years. I am currently a senior officer working at the Headquarters of Anambra State Fire Service, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria as the Officer Incharge of Training and Fire Statistics. I am the first and only engineer working with Anambra State Fire Service for now.

FIRE SERVICE IN NIGERIA
Fire Service in Nigeria was established by the Fire Service Act (law) of 1963 and since then has not been reviewed. Fire Service today in Nigeria is still the only statutory organization established by law to undertake or render services as regard to fire and its related cases. A firebreak that occurred Monday morning 07/01/13 around 11am, gutting an office in the Annex Building of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja. I've been doing this job since I was 18 and I am turning 55 in January. My background includes working as a paramedic, flight paramedic, neonatal intensive care unit paramedic, firefighter, fire engineer, fire inspector, chemical facility inspector, apparatus driver, fire captain, hazmat team member and a bunch of other stuff...
