About Me:
I have been based at my current station now for 18 months and it is great being back at the station where I did my initial training as a probationary Firefighter. I joined in 1998 at my local volunteer station where I live, and then in 2001, I was selected to join the full time service in my county. I love living in one of the most beautiful parts of the uk.
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
To give help and support to the people within my community, and to just be there for them when they need us, no matter what the time or weather.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It is the best job in the world ... The feeling of gratitude when you help, the adrenaline, the respects of others and the most important .... Being part of the family that all of us have become around the world.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Local political situations between fire and ambulance, when involving the joint working as responders.
Hey Jon,
Great to have a friend from the UK. I've always wanted to visit but never had the time and money. Be cool and stay safe. Drop me a line anytime.
