I am still working on my full training but have most. I have the basics down and driver training but in everyday life people don't realize how much work is really involved with being a firefighter, but I still have a lot to learn

I joined to not only be a positive role model for my kids ,but to make a difference in my neighoborhood and serve my community

I am aware of many that do. Departments that are progressive will recognize the benefit of having such a program. We do. However, we made it our own and made it fit our program and policy.
Ya its a great thing. I'm still in high school and I'm a volunteer for only about 6 months now but it is great. Hopefully I can make a career out of it. Its the best job in the world.
