Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I'm a 3rd generation firefighter, and my uncles were also in the fire service. It seemed like a good idea to keep the tradition going and to help out my community and see what it is like.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love the thrill and excitement of it, and I love the comradre that comes with it. I now know what it means to be a part of the Brotherhood. And I love being able to get out there and help people.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Health and safety issues, and lack of training and funds in volunteer departments.

Training vs. Experiance

It's the age old debate in the fire service of training vs. experiance. Is the older, more experianced firefighter with less training a better suit for a company officer than the highly trained, moderately experianced younger firefighter. I am currently facing this issue myself.

His Name is Dickie Wickens Dunno if he's still alive or gone, to be honest he did Lobster dealing then..and was down Rhode Island way for some months working with My boss doing some stuff, At One point I knew he was kinda homesick so we decided to drive up..Left at 4 pm Friday and was back @ 8 am monday..lol My mom's side is from up the line some had Holidays up around Yarmouth and such ..lol I Might not have gone Had I know the "UFO"s story Hahaha course Dickie might have gotten dropped off BY em too...hahaha I was up I think it was '83 or '84 His son was 13 or 14 then like I said so You might know him but I can't recall his first Name.hmmm Hahaha
