Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Ever since I was in Kindergarten I had several fire trucks and toys all relating to the fire service. It is a dream I had since I was a child. I have followed that dream. To protect and serve all.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

When someone actually takes the time to say thank you. I ran on a call almost two years ago. The call was a Pediatric seizure. We responded. We did our job. A year later I was out in public and this lady approached me. She asked me if I ws a firefighter. I respond that I was. She asked me what department. After a moment or two of talking she asked if I responded on a specific call and gave me the run down. It was indeed the Mother of our little pediatric patient. She simply said, " Thank you. Thank you for helping my son." And walked off.
