Hey, I am from Johnson Twp. Decker In. We serve aprox. 1,250 people in a 50 sq mile area with 17 members. We have 4 trucks a engine, rescue, tanker and a brush truck.
Hello there all, just wanted to say Hi and say hello from Western Pa. Our dept. serves a pop. of around 1500 or so folks. We average about 65 calls a year, not bad for weed beaters and MVC's, Oh we still get a good worker every now and then too. Have Fun and Stay Safe.
My dept. is 30 members stong and we cover 51 sq. miles in upstate NY. We operate on a budget of $58000 for the year total. Have a board of Commisioners,2 class A pumpers,(1) 2800gal tanker(1) ambulance(1) 1969 4WD brush truck and average 124 fire and 200 EMS calls a year.
Lafe Fire Department we got 17 firefighters 2 brush trucks and 2 pumpers ones a 1952 cab over. We get about 100 to 120 calls a year and cover 10-12 sq. miles. We got about a $9,000 budget. Lafe Arkansas Northeast part of Arkansas.
Hi folks My dept is in Hamilton county ny The largest county east of the mississippi with the least amount of people less then 5500 my dist is 250 sq miles and 1400 residents we use two pumpers one mini one 1500/3000 tanker and one heavy rescue about 100 call a year and 30 guys I also serve the county as fire coordinator with one deputy.
Well im from a small town in cali. Technically its not even a town its a lake . Called Lake Don Pedro subdivison. Its in Mariposa county so we are a county fire dept. we have 12 stations around the county and each has from aroun 3 people to 10-15 or so... Our company doesnt even have a station. We have a car port in the sheriffs yard. Our office is a storage container. Ironically we arent even on the top of the list do get a station. Theres another station ahead of us and they have a station but it's in bad shape.
Howdy All, I am Asst.chief of a fire district in missouri our town population is about 2000, we serve about 100 square miles. We have 3 stations manned by 40 volunteers + officers. We have built a truck fleet of 16 trucks.
Jeff Wright Chief of West Point Fire Department,West Point KY. The population of my city is 1100 people. We have US31W running right thought of city limits, also 2 railroads and the Ohio River. We're about 20 miles south of Louisville KY and 10 miles north of Fort Knox. We have 18 members and run 2 engine and 1 telesqurt. Glad to be this group
Ron Fink Asst.Chief of the West Laurens FD in Central upstate NY. If you blink when you drive thru our Hamlet you will miss it. But do not speed thru it because the law loves it because it has a 45mph speed zone and no one does it. We have between 75 to 100 calls each year fire/ems combined. There is three depts. plus one ems dept. in our town which splits up the coverage of 45 sq. miles. My dept. takes care of 15 sq. miles of the town. We have 1-Pumper, 1-Mini Pumper, 1-Light Rescue, and 1-Tanker. There is 40 members 25 active, 10 life or charter members, the other 5 help at fund raiser's.
Village of Prentice,Wi.. Population 800. All volunteer with 24 members. 2 pumpers, rescue van, tanker, 2 ambulances, and a rescue 6wheeler..We cover three townships.
Rindge, NH population about 2500, we have about 25 members (we need more, but so does everyone) we have two engines, a rescue, a tanker, a brush truck, a hose truck, a boat, and a 4-wheeler, last year we had 880 calls, we had 226 alone in the 12 day period of the December ice storm, so we're really stressed
Harrison, Montana is not even an incorporated town and I would be surprised if there were 200 people. Our fire department has less than 20 members, we also cover Pony, Norris and Summit Valley. We have more equipment than people.
Montauk, NY is a small summer town on the east end of long island, we have around a hundred members but the reality is 10-15 members showing up to a structure fire. The average age is 42 so you do the math. the hospital is an hour away, and mutual aid at least 20 minutes
Carlisle Oh. small dept. We are paid on call and let me tell ya it wont pay your bills. LOL Alone we do around 250 calls a year. We have one station with a rescue an engine and although we do have a tower we dont run it. Its definatly an old one. We staff around 30 people however there are about 10 of us that run every call. I never knew I could be so close with what were strangers until I came to this dept about 5 months ago. These are the greatest people I have ever worked with in my 5 years of service
St Johnsville NY, population onder 2000. 44 active but you know the same 15 seem to show up to most calls. We even have a dive team with air boat. 3 engines, dive truck, tower, brush truck and a pair of jet ski's.
Hey yall: Commented about our small department. By the sound of it we have a small area, we have 3 frontline engines,5 tankers 3brush trucks, 1 medical rescue, 1heavy rescue 1 reserve engine, ( 1959 Ford) and 1 new pumper-tanker on the way. We are a volunteer dept. Our new station is about 10,000 sq. feet. So I guess we are not doing so bad.
we have on1 engine, 1 tender, 2 brush trucks, 1 off road tanker/brush truck, 1 mini pumper/ light rescue, 1 mobile air unit to fill scba's. there is about 45 people in our area that we cover. we are pretty small.
we also have a 2007 750 gal 1500 gpm pierce rescue/pumper, 1000 gal ford/alexis pumper, 1999 peterbuilt 4000 gal tanker, 2004 peterbuilt 2000 gal tanker a rescue, ambulance and a boat.
Hey Gang,
I just joined this group and although I am not a fire fighter I am a dispatcher for the Bull Mountain Vol. Fire Dept. and I hope it is okay with everyone that I have joined your group.
The Cortland Volunteer Fire Department is 100% Volunteer. The Population of this town is 3000 Our station holds 2-E1 Engines, Engine 10 was bough new in 2007. my son and i run with a small town dept. in central Pa. We have 2 engines , a brush truck , a tanker , and an ambulance. Most of our fire calls are mutual aid or brush fires. We are both emt certified and run on the ambulance also. Last year the ambulance answered about 110 calls.
Hello from Sciota Illinois. Volunteer Firefighter on Good Hope/Sciota Fire Department. We have about 25 to 30 volunteers on our department. We run probably 100 to 150 calls per year.
HI, everyone. I'm from Chester, W.Va. I'm with the Lawrenceville VFD. We cover suburban to rural area, with assistance calls in Hancock County, WV, Beaver County, PA, and Columbiana County, Ohio. We have 2 heavy engines (both HME's), an 1800 gallon tanker (4-Guys body on a '91 International chassis), and we just got a GMC squad/mini-pumper. We average around 120 calls a year, mostly medical and rescue.
Tsup? thanks for having me in this group. I,m a member of the Perrysburg Volunteer Fire Dept. in Perrysburg N.Y. We are about 40 strong and I,m one of the newest members.Nothing quite like the feeling of belonging that comes with being a member of a group that does so much while asking for so little.
