Evening All!!!

Welcome to all of our new Back Room Crew members - please swing on in and introduce yourselves!!

Inauguration tomorrow - 2nd term of Obama + Martin Luther King Day - what are everybody's plans - PARADES ???

For me, my friends will be taking their baby - the one hit by the car - to the neurologist to find out if he needs brain surgery :(  Since once you have a skull fracture as a newborn - your brain - apparently will grow THROUGH the cracks in the skull - and thus surgery on the brain has to happen to reduce the brain filling the gap  - disturbing.... omg... disturbing... I hope this is not happening and this doctor visit goes well and not as expected :/

on another note with this same little boy - now 5 months old - he has been getting evaluated for all sorts of things - since the accident he has lost his hearing on his right side and has a bunch of physical and developmental delays :/ and even lost a lot of skills that he had prior to the accident :'-(  so sad and has kept so much of my attention for the last 10 weeks since this accident happened....  This little family needs LOTS OF PRAYERS !

Chris did you become a Lt. and I missed it - sorry - congrats.... No, it was not directed at you one of the Back Room Crew members is named "DUST" but haven't seen him around here much of late.

Since we spoke last, the Sandy Hook School shooting happened (and a friend of a friend's son was shot and killed in that event)... I grew up in CT, and some of my closest friend's attended/attend that school.

and as you see below my closest friend's were in a very serious pedestrian accident - on Jan 21 we hope to find out if the baby (discussed below) will need brain surgery to release additional swelling within the skull. The baby will just be turning 5 months old (hallelujah for living this long) and has a horrible skull fracture with 3 inter-cranial bleeds. But he seems to have gained a good deal of body function, and is developing well in most areas - though he seems to have significant left- sided body rigidity and intermittent function though :( which was not present before the accident. It is a miracle that mother and son lived through this event - and God Be Praised that they made it through the holidays and are recovering much better than expected...

What is going on with all of you?

p.s. I heard that DUST finally became Lt. DUST :)  whoo hoo congrats !!!

and my (biological) brother, became Fire Chief of the E. Montpelier, VT Fire & Rescue :)

Hey anyone seen or heard from Patti and Firewriter and Izzy of late?

Last time I heard from Patti - she was post eye surgery getting a new car...

Last time I heard from Firewriter - she was getting engaged to a saint...

and the last time I heard from Izzy she was moving into a new house...

so are any of you ladies still around ??? lurking in the FFN shadows?

and of course.... where... oh where... have all you men gone ;-)
