The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

i have a question anyone that would like to answer, i have worked in the field of a a firefighter for 2.5 years, and in the ems field off and on, but the company i was volunteering for in ems said they would help and work with me to getmy ems cert, but every time i aked about classes and training i was brushed away, what can a person do that wants there cert do, especially if they have no time to go to school forit? any suggestions?

lol my academy eperianse was more like boot camp. but then again i took my national pro bored ff1 and 2 at a career depts training academy and i wouldent have traded the experiance for anything. when i came into the fire service it was right as things were changing so i saw very little of the old ways

Right on Justin. I dont get nearly as much as I like. Our training academy is like taking a vacation. It is such a blast.

No whining, just venting like chief said we could. Sometimes our frustrations get the best of us and we just need a reminder to bring us back down. That's all. I hear stories all the time about "the old days" in the fire service and wish that some of those things were still the same for me to experiance. I really look forward to being a part of this group and share feeling, thoughts, fears and everything else that comes with doin what we do. Thank you for the invite
