The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Heather - it depends if they are degradable or not. If not then yes. Also is it string- like or like staples?

I'd call the vet and ask.

yes - go back like 15 pages on here - I posted pictures of my 2 kitties and their surgery wounds from being fixed last week. Both kitties are back to their circus circus antics - just a little slower... but give them a few days and they will be back in full swing... they are healing well...

but they seem to have metal string stitches in their bellies - and the vet tech did not tell me if they are supposed to come back to have them removed or if I have to remove them or if they fall out on their own ??? ANY ONE KNOW THE ANSWER ???

yes ralph - it kills me to go to the shelter - here there are THOUSANDS of animals at each shelter... and they have to kill them by the hundreds... that kills me... so I always get my pets fixed...

yes - ralph - i always want them to err on the side of caution - so I agree with the lower risk of post op infection.

this vet is the one that MANDATORY fixes all the animals from the shelter BEFORE they are released to new owners so they do hundreds of animals a week - so I am sure they have a mass production system for surgery... and shaving...

Yes Sarah - my last vet was negligent and let my kitty, Tigger, die - a kitty which I had my entire adult life - from tainted cat food... Because the vet brushed her needs off as "she is old" instead of "she is sick" - even though I TOLD him differently OVER AND OVER AND OVER. That wrecked me when she died AND I was sooo angry with the vet who failed to provide care to the standard of care expected.

So I switched to this new vet. I like the new vet - but don't have a lot of experience with them yet.
