awh Jim so scary... I hear ya about the dementia thing... I swear, euthanasia sounds better and better as I age... I don't think I would want to live through that stage, should it come upon me... it must be so scary to be so confused and experience the world in dis-array...

well I am glad that no one was injured and the sirens were not really for an accident and the nurses were quick thinking in calling your mom to calm your dad... sounds like you have your hands full... BIG HUGS !!!

Great chatting with you Naughty Shenanigans, sorry to hear about your pops too... Seems like all of us are becoming the caregivers for our parents at the same time... I actually have it really easy, since I have a pile of siblings and they have spouses and they all live closer to my parents than I do...

.

my whole elder family seems to be falling apart quickly... my last grandparent(mother) keeps having mini-heart attacks and mini-strokes every few months... and my last 2 uncles are in the ICU... it can get very overwhelming keeping up with everyone's issues and needs...

.

I dub you ALL honorary Irish descendants for the Patty Holiday :) since we would gladly serve you green beer... and corned beef and hash... and share LUCK with you... via our frosted lucky charms ;-)

and consider letting you have your own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow !!!

so my pops was taken to the ER tonight for a "spaced out" incident... which luckily happened in front of my EMT brother... the ER could not find the source and sent him back home, but since my father is legally blind from his alzheimers.. and is moderately cognitively shifted most of the time, since his alzheimers makes his functioning like hallucinations, he was not really able to help the doctors understand what was going on physically with him.... other than... just before he "spaced out" he reported needing to throw up and was overly hot and started taking all of his clothes off...

Wow - Kyle you are correct. So sad to hear about the MD firefighters. I am so sorry to hear that your friend was among them - my prayers are with all of them and their families and departments.

Sounds like your department had a good save there with that structure fire as well !!!  Whoo Hoo !!!

Catlin - I know you said been around, I guess I meant what has been going on in your life - we have missed you?

Naughty Twin glad to hear your students are paying attention - I understand the extraordinary value of that. How is the rest of your world these days?

Hmm... now to figure out new seasonal St. Patty's Day names... hmmm... works out well for me being that I am Irish... and Heather is a very Irish name, right???  Hmmm... now to find the naughty part ;-)

Been around Heather! Decided to get off the internet for awhile as they have stringent background checks here and didn't want to give them a reason to deny me when I went for a new fire department. Not that they'd have a reason regardless!
