The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

the ff that fell - injured pemanently - off FD and disabled permanently from his paid job too

it was bad - and my husband (now ex) and BIL were blaming him (rookie) and me for almost falling

my brother (officer) who was outside of the bldg - tried to calm me down - and make me listen to my other officers (family) but after I explained my brother that my husband and BIL almost permitted me to get injured (or dead) my brother backed out of it and told the other officers (my family) they needed to hear me out - since I had a bunch of really good points. The 40 other FFs / officers / chiefs just stood there while I went off. Anyone else would have probably gotten thrown off the FD.

we were doing search (crawl) rescue the baby.

one of the guys in the team right in front of me - fell down the flight off stairs - with pack on

I almost fell down the same flight of stairs immediately after - but my brother-in-law (officer) caught me.

we were in a dangerous house with a back stairwell - like an attic staircase - my husband stood at the bottom - and my brother-in-law at top to ensure us crawling through the bldg did not use that stairwell. Because the drill setup decisions included that part of the smoke house extremely dangerous.

I got in a huge fight at a smoke house training with my husband and brother-in-law (both my officers)... which would have gotten anyone else thrown off the FD.

lol - showed them - lol.... made it to Chief... LOL

yes - I got in trouble a lot because of guilt by association to my family members

all of my family members were my senior ffs or officers most of the time - so them reprimanding me sucked - especially when they rolled in personal shit
