One of the homeless kitties in the colony that I manage just had 5 live little brown tiger kittens this week... in one of the outdoor rubbermaid shelters that I made :) Now to find them a foster home...

Good Morning Jim!
Yes it is a wonderful day today! I was able to watch the eclipse this morning, Very Pretty. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, there is magic in the air.... Oh how I love it!
I figured I would drop in and give an update on the eyes..... The last surgery has failed and the corneas have started to detach again. I am starting my pre-op appointments next Friday and will be going under the laser at the end of June. We do not know why the corneas will not heal, but hopefully this will be the last surgery. As much as I really like this eye doctor I hope after this I will never have to see him again. They are going to do this bi-lateral at the same appointment since I have to travel 2 hours to get there and then 2 hours home. I will keep you posted as time goes on.
The two kittens that were born in my barn are now down to one kitten and what a little spit fire! I do try to make sure that there is fresh water and food for mamma kitty.
My birthday was a fun day. We went to the coast where we enjoyed a nice walk in sunny weather, followed by birthday beers and lunch (and free t-shirts from the establishments). Not really a beer drinking so I shared it with others. :)

i got word of 4 other little colonies on my campus that other people are feeding - so I am trying to hook up with those people and consolidate our efforts

yeah one kitty i had to have put to sleep had a very back skin infection and the vet said it would take months - indoors - to heal - and the cat was in a great deal of pain ... so the vet said it was not humane to keep her alive :(
