last nite the local church had a supper in appreciation for us volunteer fire fighters , it was great and myself felt great knowing that our services to the community is appreiated, this morn all the money from the church offering is going to the fire dept so it will help us get some much needed gear. we get very little funding from the town.

Sarah - you need to hear them out!

LISTEN - find out what your parents concerns and reasons are... then you can take time to figure out a strategy to respond.

There is a saying:

"If you want to be understood FIRST you must seek to understand!"

Then take a few days to plan a way to negotiate a respond - without anger or hostility.
