The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Morning Patti, sending over big hugs! Getting ready for another very warm day here. So ready for the cooler weather.

Morning all. Coffee is on.... Since I am not a paramedic, can one of you come over and hook up an IV line of coffee for me please?

Evening all!!

Brian- Sounds like something that would happen here too. So, is that the point where you offer them oxygen?

Sarah- That is definitely scary when they hit that close. We had one hit our backyard once and split the tree that it hit.

Tom- Sounds like fun, might have to bring that one up to the department sometime...lol.

Kyle- How's it going?

Oh my gosh, it was a tree in our yard. D: It looks and smells like it did. There pieces of bark everywhere

Oh my gosh Brian, I'd faint. Lol

You ain't lived until you use the ladder pipe on a quint to extinguish a dumpster fire....LOL Works pretty well except that the dumpster company won't like you very well.

Sarah, try being 95 feet in the air when that happens! Happened to me at my real job a couple years ago.

Ernie, I like showing up to CO calls and hearing "I didn't smell anything when we walked through."

HOLY SH*T

That was the scariest thing! I was washing my hands in the bathroom when out of the blue the brightest light and the loudest crack of thunder I have ever heard nearly knocked me off my feet. I'm fine, but I was terrified. It sounded like something exploded. Did a check and double check and we found nothing struck. But holy crap, that scared me to death
