life is short - we have to take care of ourselves too - NOT just everyone else... we nurturer caregiver types will give our very last breath to save another and struggle to know when to reign ourselves in and nurture and care for ourselves... so thanks for letting me show some nurture and care for you : )

one of my friends died this week - random cardiac incident - young guy - went to the hospital on tuesday for arrythimias - ER said "you are fine, just stressed"... friday back to the ER for arrythmias - Friday evening - DEAD !!!

 

Current cause of death "stress induced heart attack"

 

so take care of yourself

glad you are getting your town/State back up to speed - our news here sucks - and your region gets less than 1 minute on the news here - as though New England, etc. doesn't even exist  : ( 

we are stuck on our random news, new tropical storms coming up the Mexican Gulf Coast & wildfire news...

 

Vermont ... etc... and Irene... did not even make an FFN forum post... hmm... maybe I will have to go start one...  (stupid computer won't post links & pictures at the moment :'-(

whoo hoo EMT courses !! Glad you are making steady progress Ernie. All this talk amongst all of you about fire/rescue is making me want to dust off the effort and get certified again  : )

Glad to hear that they are able to get so much done so quickly for them, Heather.  As for the site changes, good questions...LOL!!  BTW, EMT course has been keeping me pretty busy, so I haven't been able to spend as much time on the computer lately.

so I spoke to my father who lives in the Central Vermont area

 

ENTIRE towns in Vermont are GONE from the storm - as though they never existed

 

and while the death toll is still quite low, tens of thousands of people are stranded - trapped in their homes - due to the TOTAL destruction of roads and bridges

 

90% of my family lives in that region - and I am stuck in California - so it is a really big deal for me... so thanks for listening to me share
