Had a good working fire on friday. Been married to the same wonderful woman for 18 yrs. She is our dept photographer (photo unit) now. Next year my son gets to become a jr fireman. So far my life is great.

Hey Chris - haven't seen you in a while ! Glad you are around - bring us up to speed on your life !!!

 

Sarah the interesting and IMPORTANT things about going to the ER is that if it is an accident related injury

 

a) in order for (other) driver's auto insurance to truly believe it was from the accident and cover the medical bills they want a doctor's evaluation quickly,  [remember I work at the court house, every day I see people trying to sue auto insurance companies to PROVE that their medical bills were from an accident that happened a few months back]

 

and   b) sharp pain MEANS BIG PROBLEM - GO TO THE ER NOW !!!  tell them "I was just in a car accident yesterday and I think I got injured because I have ____________ "

 

and  c) even whip lash needs medical attention and can need medical attention for the rest of your life if not take care of properly when it first happens

 

and   d) I picked up a football player kid one day at a football game walking around with a bone sticking out of his neck (yes, a broken neck) and he was saying "I just have a little sharp pain in this one spot in my shoulder"

 

*********** Call your friend and get the other driver's insurance information and give it the ER when you get there and say "this person hit me and here is his insurance auto information"

 

you will probably have to show your auto insurance information as well

 

and within the next day or so get a copy of the police report and get the PD to make an amendment stating that you were injured, however, did not realize that you needed medical attention until the next day, however, the injury was a result of that accident

I'm better, still stiff and sore. Thanks Heather for the tips. I didn't go to the ER but I will if this sharp pain in my shoulder doesn't get better
