K thanks for the pep talk and yes you are popular at least on here. ;) and no I don't remember the song lyric "Dancing with Myself".

So any guys on here want to put their two cents in on this? It would be nice. :)

I am not popular - and I am not a joiner... but I am an all-in type of girl and I am all about GET-R-DONE - SO sister you don't know until you TRY IT... And if you are having fun, even alone, it is a party, even having 1 person come play is a super fun party ;-) [remember the song lyric "Dancing with Myself..."

You don't need EVERYONE - quite frankly that would be overwhelming. And you have 2 weeks to make some new friends - I have found giving people baked goods makes them like you better :-) And freely pass out your phone # and collect the number of others.

Invite classmates to lunch to - between classes - quick bonding time.

And sister, I have been in University for the last 11 straight years - year round - so I UNDERSTAND your dilemma- BUT YOU MUST PUSH ON AND BE BRAVE !!!

Yea maybe but they are already having a night for a scary movie so it is taken already and they are going to have a halloween dance (yeah that rarely goes well although sometimes they do).

Nyssa - you got me thinking (which is quite a feat)... most dorms have a general social room with a tv - you could throw a scary movie party... if you get your RA on board.

sister - dorm rooms work for parties... you just have to get your roommate on board... get a few nearby rooms to open their doors and have "an open dorm room roaming party... on your floor"

SO have a party on a DIFFERENT night !!!

Find a friend who lives in a house - and get them to co-host - or ask to use their house and offer to do all the cleaning and prep.

Or GET one of the EVERYONE to take you with them to the party they will be attending???

Hey Heather I would throw my own except that I live in the dorm so my room not big enough to host a party. Also don't forget I live on campus so EVERYONE has a party or some place to go on Halloween night.

p.s. some of the best halloween parties are thrown on a different day than on the actual halloween day - since people with kids usually are busy on the actual day - but can get a babysitter on another day... fyi

Ralph - how goes the Great Snot Crisis of 2010?

Jessica - we could just get my Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs family members together with yours and send them bowling... I am sure they would get along great.

Nyssa - I hate to be a foregone conclusion... (or do I)... BUT I had to say THROW YOUR OWN PARTY.... When you want to be the life of the party, you bring the party to you... Cook up 4-5 main food dishes, ask everyone to dress up and bring 2 or more friends (single friends that they are not interested in dating, if you are in the market) and ask them each to bring a potluck goolish dish and drinks for 10 people. Send an invite now - ask people to RSVP (but expect they will be too lazy to do it) - you can E-vite for free even. And get a co-host, in case you get toned out, your party guests will not be left alone for long.

And as far as costume - we are such a funny group of people who already dress in costume everyday and we still can not get enough - so I personally like all costumes that maximize skin presentation - such as the hospital gown johnnie or ever popular naked person hooked up to the portable AED - in your case, maybe black leggings or jeans then a bra or sports bra, then electrodes attached to your chest and then portable AED - quick and simple - especially if you still need to work, then you can just unhook your electrodes temporarily while on scene...
