I did tell my RA and she was like okay and was like didn't that happen to someone else and then walked off. Yeah.... first year being an RA doesn't know what she's doing.

I've had a head injury before I know. There won't be much they can do but I'll try. When I told my roommate what happened we went through how it could happen and the only way we know was if it went in and up. But when I fell it went out and actually there is paint missing from the metal from where it scraped it off going out.

Not sure what they will do but I will try and I am a resiliant person.

Nyssa - imagine head injury - not just a broken leg! Trust me, I have had a few head injuries - and I wish they had not happened.

Ralph is right (and so am I... and your dad) - CALL MAINTENANCE and TELL YOUR RA ASAP - TONIGHT - you pay good money to live there - THEY WORK FOR YOU - YOU PAY THEIR SALARIES - get them to do your job...

Make them put in a wood rail - if that is what you prefer. Those metal ones suck. And they want you to stay their tenant in the dorm for years - so it is in their best interest to make you happy and keep you !!!

Actually Ralph for us they provide a loft if we are willing to pay for it of course. But Heather if you saw the ones I had freshman year you would be happy with these wood ones and not just pure medal and flimsy rods.

Yes Heather I am still sleeping on it and I may eventually ask the maintance to hammer it a bit but probably not.

Heather- Yeah I have yet to complain and try to get them to fix it even though there really isn't anything to fix besides maybe hammering it down some more or something but I hightly doubt it. lol

Chris - To see you flopping like a fish would have been interesting but I get it. Trust me I was cursing but I was more like "ow" and "did that really just happen" a little bit of shock in the matter. Although I did just lay there on the ground for a while before I actually got up and tried to stop the bleeding. Yeah.... it still bleeds on and off now with a bandaid on it. No thanks to clipping a vein.

Also sorry about falling off the band wagon.

So how is everyone doing this morning? Good hopefully.

Nyssa - DANG GIRL - OUCH !!! Take care of those wounds!!! And make sure your dorm is giving you privileges - AND A NEW BED RAIL - that is not a sufficiently SAFE bed rail legally at that height - so get your dorm to make it safer... and pay any medical bills... and give you extra snacks, etc.
