The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Hey Jim.Neighbor had that same diagnosis a year or so ago.Couple days on the right meds and you would have thought they were a new person.Keep the faith.

Morning gang.Need a big cup of caffiene this morning.

Jim-Sorry to hear about your dad.I have to go along with the nursing home idea. Its helped out several of my relatives.much better than the hospital.

Hope eveybody has a good day.Nice and sunny this morning in the mid 20s with just a skiff of sn#w on the ground .

I tell ya,some days I wonder how some people can function.Just an observation I've made in the last hour or so.Need coffee!

Hey Jim - sorry to hear about your pops. Glad you had the day off though - perfect timing to go spend the day at the hospital - ironically. Do you have the weekend off too or are you back to the grindstone?

General weakness - I hate that diagnosis - makes no sense to me and doesn't seem to come with a clear solution. I hope everything works out well. He is very lucky to have you looking after him and making sure he is getting the best care. I have found these nursing facility stays have been extremely helpful for lots of my friends parents of late - and my own mother a while back with her knee surgery and complications - since the nurses can get right on problems that arise, yet the craziness of the standard hospital is reduced allowing for more rest.

When my father broke his hip at the beginning of this year, he was begging to leave the hospital to "GO get some rest ELSEWHERE" since there is NO resting in the hospital.
