The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Phoenix, There are very few pictures of me. The fact that they got these is amazing in itself. I will see what I can find though.....

I had an animal control officer ask me,"What's with you firefighters and animals"? This was after finding a dog chained inside a house to a door frame and railing. The chain had such large links we had to use bolt cutters to get the dog out of the house. We brought the dog out in a 50 gallon drum so the kids that were watching the fire wouldn't see. 2 days later I went back with the building inspector and found the dog still in the drum. Owners wouldn't dispose of it so I went to our local animal control officer to handle it.
"She said you guys deal with people dying almost everyday but when it comes to animals you firefighters really loose your minds". I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing..I just toook it for face value.
