The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

bunch of pain issues - clots in her legs, etc. too - they gave her a pile of meds

she is old school (think rubbing butter on burns) so she is one of her own worse enemies

yes - my position is REDUCE HER STRESS - happy and comfortable may be a luxury - but ya just never know she is stubborn - maybe the coumadin will clear the clots - who knows... I am just the family caregiver and mediator and I am exhausted by all the drama...

thanks for listening and for the support... MJ and Chris have been great supports as well to me, helping me with the blow by blow - THANKS GUYS !!!

Then keep her happy and comfortable. No pain issues?

GM is 86 (husband of 40 years died in Oct).

A French man Hosting FRENCH TOAST dripping in warm syrup with a side of Cocoa and Whipped Cream would work

You want my educated opinion - they sent her home to die - and they are just presenting bs to calm everyone down.

GM's age if you don't mind me asking??

If they didn't do an angio because of her health what makes them think Open Heart is a viable resolution? That doesn't make sense.
Not trying to be Debbie Downer.

Was that A French Host with cocoa and whipped Cream??

French toast please and HOT cocoa with WHIPPED cream

...

yeah coumadin... gearing up to open heart surgery if they can stabilize a few things... she over the last few years had a series of TIAs... so I doubt they get through the open heart...

i am sooooooo pissed at my aunt for increasing my grandma's stress...

alright enough venting...

Hope you all are doing well...

Now I know why we get along so well...I am a vampire by trade now...Is GM on Coumadin..if so be prepared for frequent trips to the vampire. But glad to hear she is doing as well as can be expected.

yup... vampire night stalker - not a morning person... stayed up late whipping up new year special holiday paddling...

you all are mighty vibrant this morning...

kids and animals - yup, we are supposed to protect them...
always very sad...

Tom - yup you can come over any day!

HI everyone else!!!

For those keeping track. My grandma getting sent home today. They found she has had a series of heart attacks - did not end up doing the angioplasty because she is too fragile. Put her on heparin (blood thinner) sent her home. Bunch of her heart is dead muscle, blood clot closing off one section totally, and the other is at 55% function. Sad - but one thing I keep reminding myself - No one gets out of life alive....
