The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

Airflow and cold packs are supposed to make your little men happy so that you can produce lots of little babies...

Morning all!  Coffee is on.  Breakfast is on!

Month end here we go....

Ms Heather you are most definately correct, Kevin is scared of you.  He hurt his back and has been going to a bone cruncher.

Speaking of learning...LOL...I came to the realization that cold water on a cold sidewalk tends to get icy in a fairly short amount of time...oops.  Only took me going back to the engine to doff the SCBA to find that out, which of course, was also frozen at the hose to tank connector so I couldn't get a fresh tank on it before placing it back on the engine.

It is unfortunate that it took so long for someone to notice what was happening to this structure as it was a total loss prior to our arrival as the roof had already collapsed and about half of the walls were already gone as well, not to mention the Camaro IROC that was in there waiting for the son to turn of age to get his license.

Oh yeah, did learn one additional and quite valuable lesson...watch out for PD once they have realized that where they have parked to secure the scene has hot embers falling all around them...they tend to want to move IMMEDIATELY!!!

Thanks for the kind words earlier Jim - I am honored !!!!  (and yes, I do rock... thanks for noticing ;-)

Glad to hear you are learning!

After that fire I spoke of below when I got frost burned on my face and neck because I got distracted and failed to properly secure my neck closure... i learned (the hard way) ... AND I NEVER EVER EVER forgot again to properly do up my collar...

Patti, Kevin kept me in the dark about his injury - probably because he is A) scared of me... B) knew I would chew his a** ..... and C)Kevin is scared of me....

Thus I assumed it was a little snip snip wound - which men try to hide... thus the ice-pack !!!
