This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

CRAZY BUSY - thought during the holidays life was supposed to slow down - not quadruple my workload >:-( LOL... but every day above ground is a great day... and every day with a paycheck also a great day : )
HI TO EVERYONE !!!!
WOW CHRIS - THANKS FOR SUCH A WARM GREETING !!! xoxoxoxoxox Seems my life has pulled me away from my computer for so much time lately, sorry to leave you hanging...
Great to hear the details of your fire - sounds like you did work. Though I know how tough it is when you do such great work and you still lose the structure :(
ROTFLMAO - about the geriatric firefighters.... so true !!!
monkeys - that is hysterical too...
Now to the big question - tell us what you learned at this fire? I love how you broke down the details... cause only the geriatric firefighters can do that ;-)
WOW I must've scared everyone off!
OOoooh Goood morning Miss Cherished Lady Heather.
Well we went to assist another dept. on a fire yesterday. I got to be on the RIT team for a while (dont have rit classes) but I have conf. space, trench res.,struct.collapse.Any way back to the story.
We arrived on scene and got our orders to stand by on the A side. Like I said above was on the Rit team for a while (another dept.)then we were told to grab a line and cool some prpoane tanks down on the A/B corner. Then was taken to the C side to assist up stairs. We were ther for hours due to extensive overhauling. The house was a total loss.
My chief says that at drill some nights we look like monkeys blanking a football. We have a bunch of young ff. But yesterday it was us old guys and there were no monkeys. The youngest was our driver I think he's 25 then me 42 Iwas in the back with our the other guy 46 and our chief who just turned 50. Go Greitol crew.
Any ways thats all I have for now.
