at one giant furniture store fire we had, after I worked interior for a while, we started having roof collapse, so we got pulled out and our tasks changed, and suddenly the elderly owner showed up screaming... and clutching his chest...

 

within a few minutes my chief assigned me to be the owners personal medical/safety babysitter has he strolled around the scene spouting... come to find out he had an extensive horrible medical history, including a prior heart attack... so my chief gave me free run to "control" the owner

 

I followed him around in full fire gear, carrying my medical jump kit - repeatedly checking his vitals, forcing him to drink & eat, explaining what all the FFs were doing on his property and calming his a** down as he raged at me for 10 straight hours... I just kept telling him "you are NOT dying on my watch... and I will do anything and eveything needed to make sure you are safe... so if you want something checked out, I will go check it out and report back to you, but you will stay a safe distance away and keep yourself calm and let the firefighters work"

 

by the end of my babysitting task, he was so exhausted he no longer was complaining and actually thanked me for keeping him alive and educating him about the process

But you can sleep well at night for being a good person...I bet he can not say the same... and when he is burning in hell, you can lounge on your cloud in heaven...

 

hmm.... maybe he wanted his grandma dead... and you were interferring with HIS agenda....   evil SOB

I just put it into a little box, went home afterwards and told my dog she was the bestest person in the entire world! 

 

It just amazes me that people think that this is OK.  As I told one civi when she started to complain, at least your grandmother is alive and unharmed.  She said your right and stayed out of the way.  Her brother though was a d*ck.  I mean seriously your the reason birth contral was invented.

so sorry patti - that always makes us feel un-appreciated... here we are trying to help our community and the a*holes have to be cruel and abusive...  makes ya just wanna say... "I can go home and your house can burn down - I DON'T CARE about your stupid house"
