The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

KEVIN - THAT's AWESOME !

I was just thinking your company probably has a website - you could kidnap their already posted pixs - that can't be a secret.

See Kevin - now that (Chapter 1 - your plant construct) did not take up too much FFN space... so find me a google one that is not your trade secrets to teach me the rest.... PPPPPllllllllleeeeeeeezzzzzeeee I REALLY am learning and WANT to know... and I will take any pictures I can get. I am such a visual person - it takes 10000 words (and a smack in the head) for every one picture for me to understand.

(come on all the pictures I found were funny - preschool - hee hee...) But now that you tell me we are discussing the 2nd pix - I can imagine you better in your little hard hat roaming around in that scene... now tell me what cog you are in the scenario? are you the guy that flips the switch?

Did you ever see Live Free or Die Harder - with Bruce Willis - when the gas lines were sent to one bldg and it exploded? Where are you in that cog? Are you the guy that did that ??? hee hee

AND YOUR EFFORTS MAKE ME VERY HAPPY

Safety deaths piss me off the most. Yes there are accidents - but those are NO accidents !!!

Hey Nyssa Girl - I have missed visiting with you. Hope you are doing well!

Nice pictures Ralph though not so good for the kids in them. So hopefully everyone will have a good and safe night.

Enough about real life - Ralph - back to you

Ralph - when I was 11, I almost killed myself, and my best friend (15) and my sister (8) in a snow mobile accident. We were properly dressed with full helmets - which is the ONLY thing that saved my sister... and proper outer gear which was the ONLY thing that saved my friend...

My friend was the driver of the front sled. My sister was her back passenger. I was on the driving the second sled alone. No one else was with us.

We were about 3 miles away from my house (and all the grown ups) - in Upstate NY - in a wide open mile-long flat field, riding trail caravan style at about 60 mph. When we had a sudden white out - horizontal snow blowing.

We both stopped as quickly as we could - her more quickly than I - so I hit the back of their snow mobile - driving my snowmobile almost directly straight over theirs by 50% of the way before it flipped to the left side.

So I literally drove up my sister, the back passenger. It threw her off the right side of the sled. The front ski of my sled cracked her helmet in two. Then it threw my friend up over the front of her sled and the sled landed on top of her legs and torso (with her facing upward - which we never figured out). My sled flipped to the left upside down pinning me under it.

LUCKILY, DIVINE INTERVENTION - my sister had enough consciousness and strength to drag herself over to my sled to help flip it off me. Then the two of us were able to flip the other sled off my friend.

My sled was destroyed, undrivable - engine, skis, track. But there was enough left of me and their sled (such as the engine/skis/track) that I was able to drive their sled back to my house to get our parents. Leaving them in a heap in the field.

THAT WAS BAD DAY !!! Easily could have killed all three of us.

Today all of us our fine - each of us with recovered injuries. My sister got the worse of it though. Damn... horrible just recalling it...

Without proper gear... and HELMETS... and scout medical & survival training (all 3 of us were in scouts)... we would not be having this conversation...

Godo Evening Justine - let me know how that movie turns out...

WOW - Tiller - Tom lets you be seen in public with him... AMAZING !!! Apparently probies at your station are treated like royalty !!!

And I loved your sentence structure "killed my survival" HEE HEE

Tell us before Tom - so we can compare stories...
and keep him honest ;-)

I bet right now he is cringing thinking you will give away all of his secrets...

Chief drove me home.

Ahh... I love how people react to Emergency vehicles going down the road.
