Heather, yes the Fire Service has/is predominantly male oriented but without a shadow of a doubt females are becoming more and more a part of it. Yes, for you all, it's a very tough field to get into and accepted because of the history but that's life. IMHO, history is being changed now with more females becoming part of it. In a sense it's no different than the nursing field where for years it's been a female domianted field but now you see more guys becoming nurses.

Like the Chief said, you all add a breath of fresh air to things at times. It shouldn't matter gender wise, everyone should have the right to speak up over an issue so long as they don't blow it out of proportion.
