The Backroom Crew

This is a place where we can sit down, put our feet up and chill. Where the Boys and Girls can just be themselves. The Back Room or what most firefighters call a ''day room or rec room'' is the social point of every firehouse.

nyssa, alot of the students here use the dinner trays from the dinning hall (as a cook at a university i laught when they get caught and have to buy like 5 trays for every 1 they distroy) air mattresses work too.

on another not, i got a phone call yesterday around 3pm regarding my interview............ the capt that interviewed me was like" hey i got some bad news, welcome to the crew brother, call and set up a drug test, and your paperwork packet should arrive by mail by tue, fill it out asap and your anticipated start date should be around the 28th" its only part time for now and isent on there ARFF team (structural FF and EMS only un till i get my ARFF), but its a foot in the door and like they said yesterday, theres always the chance of a FT opening, and i would have the opertunity to transffer to FT. so im excited

Good afternoon all....just trying to warm up from Cold Weather Search scenario. Get some ribs on the grill and watch some basketball and golf.

Good afternoon everyone!!!

FW-The freezing R has changed to S, after warming enough to thaw the R that came down this morning. One thing about this area, if you don't like the weather, give it five minutes, it will probably change!!

Alright - now that all the bases are covered... get out of the corner...

Michael... kisses and cuddles and a swat for good measure... now I better not hear any more such stories of you NOT taking care of yourself... I have grown quite fond of you... and will be royally pissed if something bad happens to you...

...(and yes I do... haunt beyond the grave)

We must immediately switch out Mike's bed (floating heavenly one from the spa) and install this 4-post bed... for obvious reasons...

and I know you come packing your own hardwear... but these are nice too.

So Mike - you appear to be suffering from the class Superman Hero Complex... which commonly over takes fire fighters... some even at birth...

You seem to be displaying the classic Superman Hero Characteristics - I am a SUPER MAN - and the WORLD CAN NOT SURVIVE ONE DAY WITH OUT ME !!! BECAUSE I AM SUPERMAN AND I AM A HERO !!!

I am so glad you have brought this matter to my attention this morning... we shall begin treatment immediately...

I will get Jess with her chains and and Rossie with ropes and FW with the National Guard... o wait... she is the same wing of the asylum as you... nevermind I will send Dee the extra troops...

Dee - hang in there - reinforcements are coming... In the meantime, hide the battery for his pager... hee hee

Hey Mark - a bit busy right now with the Lunatics running the asylum... but welcome...

Nyssa - cardboard box works well folded out flat - anything to break the surface tension between you and the snow...

Afternoon everyone. Welcome Mark to the sanity. lol

So it is snowing here today. We are suppose to get 5 in of snow and 2 in of ice. I'm really thinking about going sledding today. I haven't gone all week (even with the 2 snow days). But I have two things against me: 1) I don't have a sled (or a cafeteria tray) & 2) I have 3 exams this week.
I know I should study for the exams but I want to have fun. So I'm REALLY thinking of going sledding. Anyone have any ideas for a make shift sled that a COLLEGE student can find around a dorm. (Don't have a cafeteria tray or a garbage bag big enough that I can fit in.)
