Tualatin Valley Fire Rescue in Portland Oregon, I believe, still maintains their PWC program (the West Linn station).

Tony, the only one in my area is the Burton Fire District in Beaufort, SC. They use PWCs to cover the miles of shoreline along the tidal marshes in the mouth of the Broad River.

The San Diego Lifeguards operate PWCs for swiftwater rescue as well.

Bradley County Fire-Rescue in southeast Tennessee also still used PWCs for lake and flatwater river SAR as of the last time I checked.

Hello to the group,
I'm interested in how many organizations still use PWCs (Personal Watercarft) within their water rescue operations. There were many back in the 90s when the manufacturers and dealers were involved with a government loan program. But that had subsided and agencies and teams were left to turn them back in or buy them if they wanted to continue to use them. My question to our limited group here is, 'does your agency, or do you know of an agency which continues to use PWCs with in their water rescue operations.
Any reply I receive will be greatly appreciated,

Hey Guy`s
While surfing the net, i saw that you maby have some interrest in regard of a Creature Craft as a swift water rescue boat. As a part of the team, reasearch and developpement is part of my function. Any questions you may have, can be answered in details. All researchs are base on safety and eazy control in white water, It also occure that it is a blast to ride!!!

that was 1st test ever of that in water it looks like diffrent in video but it draws around the head , if you have ever used vacum splints it works same way . we have since modifed how use it we first slip back board under pt then vac mat seem so far to work great floats and secures pt well also 1 person can flip it over if pt went face down

Vac Mat, interesting. Have you played with it much. Seems to have a problem with proper head positioning.
