- I went to school at Medix Technical College in Smyrna, GA as well as doing my third rides with several different companies in around Atlanta, Ga. I am now employed with Care Ambulance out of Tucker, GA. When I was first hired with them while they were awaiting the contract for Dekalb County, I was doing NET which I recieved a little bit more experience some of them were a learning experience, but now that I am 911 with the Dekalb Fire Department, I can honestly say I love my job, some calls (most calls) are no nonsense calls but when we do get a call that is not, they are awesome...I LOVE MY JOB!!

- I am in a commited relationship and have been for 11 years now. I have two dogs, Brutis & Sable and two cats, Ansley and of course Sweetie. I have worked in a hospital enviroment for many years, but this is what I have always wanted to do. Also, I have just recently been promoted to FTO.

Day Of Recognition

I received this in an e/m and wanted to pass it on, I thought maybe this was a GREAT SITE to get a bunch of people to put in their e/m's and forward on to many others, lets help recognize the many fallen hero's and still the hero's of today that are seldom recognized for their job's that they have such a passion for to save live's and pass this around the world.

The Job

Well I have been backing Dekalb 911 since March 1st and I can honestly say it has been eye opening! School can get you ready for the job or so you think. School can teach you how to do your job but it doesn't teach you how to deal with the the emotion that come's when you see death. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I think I have the best job in the world. Where else can you wave at a cop as you run a red light?
