Job Security!!

Ok I will start this first conversation,it's called stupidity,How many times can you say, that a call has come in and the first thing you say when you get on scene"you stupid dip-s---t" I can tell you for the 6yrs I have been an EMT-B for a 911 system,at least every other call....I can say that people can be so ignorant to there surroundings. Before I decided to become an EMT I too was very ignorant about what I did. I had the ahhh that can't happen to me!!
I have learned alot in the past 6 yrs................

Im 38yrs old and have been in the FF/EMT-B field for 15 yrs. on several dept. and enjoy every bit of it. My husband of 4 yrs is asst. chief of our dept and we r expecting his first child and my 3rd. Of course this is no big feet for me my oldest will be 18yrs and my 2nd one is 8 yrs and this one due in Nov. so limited to my duties but still running til doctor says no more for now.

I've grown up around the medical feild and i love it. i have never really been the type oh that cant happen to me but i still do dareing thing for me if i get hurt i get hurt.. but i see what you are saying some people just can b so stupid at times its annoying... i have ran so many wrecks with people trying to show off and its like HAHAHA now u have a broke leg dumba$$.. i have no pity for them people..

I have been in the EMS/Fire field for 3 1/2 years, and working for a private ambulance company for 2 years. One of the funniest calls I think I've ever been on was one where our pt., complaining of difficulty breathing, earnestly insisted he'd only had "2 beers" that evening... because if he had more than 2 beers, it would coagulate in his lungs. I'd never heard that one before.

I wish I could say I have been doing well....But I have been taken out of commission for a while I have developed a migrain seizure problem so going through lots of test...............Keeping my head up high and blaming it on "Post Transport disorder"(PTD) 7 yrs of transporting pt's with absolutely nothing wrong with them...........LOL
