Löschmeister is a rang of a Vol. Fire Dep. Officer in the State of Baveria.

Brandinspekteur = Fire Inspector. A "Brandinspekteur" perform almost the same duties as a Station Captain. (e.g. Incident Commander). In a paid department he also leads a branch like Operation or Fire Controll Center....

Hello to all - My last name is Albright - Great grandfather Albright came from Germany, Great grandmother Unruh came from Russia - about the length of my knowledge of my German heritage - Need help on a tattoo - I would like to put firefighter in German on a tattoo. My question - is there a more proper term in your fire brigade for my current rank as a fire captain with 13 years of service? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
