Just joined and wanted to say Hi! Check out my photos, I have two quarter horses as of now, Mexx, our show horse, was sold when my daughter left for college. Windy is my 27 year old mare, her sire is the great Major Bonanza...she is one of his only living get left! I bred her to a Two Eyed Jack stallion and out came Tipsey (common name) her registered name is Bonanza's Two Eyed Dandy! She will be four this year and since I don't ride her very much I may sell her.

Hello all,
I used to own a beautiful palamino mare when I got married I was forced to sell her. I miss her so much...anyway my family is starting a mounted SAR unit here in southern NJ and I thought this would be a wonderful group to talk with, we currently have 2 horses for this unit to use.

Just saw this group and thought it would be great to interact with others who share the same passions.
I am a 27 year veteran of a EMS / Rescue Squad in NJ. My wife and I currently own, breed, train, compete and sell Minature Horses. Our heard is up to 30 minatures with one more pregnant mare due soon (just had two babies this past month). We also have a 5 year old Missouri Fox Trotter and a 2 year old Quarter Horse / Paint mix. I am looking to start a Mounted EMS Unit for parades, standbys, and large gatherings.

In my area we have several of us firefighter's who ride horses. Glad to know there are many more of us out there that enjoy it as well! I have a 7 y/o Bay Mare Qtr that I purchased last Sept. We are still getting to know each other. We have had a long winter and it won't go away so have yet to ride. I am having horse withdrawls. Take care all.

Thanks Kim I love my 6 but I hate the Feed and Hay bill every month Ha Ha.Here is a picture of me trying to show my wife how to shoe our horse.She trys LOL and does a great job
